Louis Vuitton reveals new sneakers as part of its LV Runner Tactic Trainer Collection
Honouring the creative vision and the unparalleled legacy of the late designer Virgil Abloh, Louis Vuitton has revealed new sneakers as part of its LV Runner Tactic Trainer Collection. Part of its Spring-Summer 2022 collection, the LV Runner Tactic Trainers come in a variety of colours, however, what remains unchanged is the ethos.
According to a post on the brand’s Instagram page, it is a ”new iconic sneaker inspired by the running spirit and smooth curves of the 90s with a dynamic, fresh appeal.”
The LV Runner Tactic Trainer is based around the casual running sneaker, with a design that’s striking yet not over the top. The upper half of the sneaker is made from mesh textile, while supple suede calf leather completes the look.
The sneaker also boasts the House’s iconic Monogram Flower pattern and promises the usability and practicality one would expected from running shoes. The midsole cushioning provides comfort and absorbs the potential impacts while running.
To ensure grip and traction while on the move, and in slippery conditions, the sole features deep treads, enhancing usability. Overall, is it available in four colourways and costs about USD 1,200 a pair.
Speaking of Virgil Abloh sneakers, the Louis Vuitton x Nike Air Force 1 by the designer is currently on auction with a price tag of USD 90,000. It is one of the 47 pairs that Abloh created in collaboration with other brands.
