Ras Al Khaimah Police introduce 20 smart gates to monitor

Gates installed at major road entrances and exits

Ras Al Khaimah: The General Command of Ras Al Khaimah Police, in collaboration with the Department of Public Services, has announced the integration of the Safe City system with AI-operated smart gates at major road entrances and exits in the emirate. This initiative is part of the digital Safe City project and the Crossroads system on Ras Al Khaimah’s main roads.

Major General Ali bin Alwan Al Nuaimi, Commander-in-Chief of Ras Al Khaimah Police, said as many as 20 smart gates will be installed at key road entrances and exits.

These gates will be connected with the main operations room to monitor and analyse traffic conditions and provide intelligent reports of accidents through AI-enabled cameras.

Additionally, the smart gates will display alerts about weather and traffic conditions, promoting a safer traffic environment and enhancing the police’s ability to manage and respond to incidents efficiently across Ras Al Khaimah.

Engineer Khaled Fadl Al Ali, Director General of the Public Services Department in Ras Al Khaimah, said the establishment of AI-driven security gate infrastructure is part of the digital Safe City project.

He affirmed that this initiative will bolster tech security infrastructure, aligning with global best practices to enhance the quality of life.

This pioneering project aims to foster prosperity, development and sustainability in Ras Al Khaimah.
