An Emirati man in his 70s drowned after his vehicle was swept into a wadi by surging floodwater following torrential rain. The Ras Al Khaimah Police operation room received a call on Tuesday reporting a vehicle being swept into Wadi Isfni, located within the southern regions of Ras Al Khaimah.

The Ras Al Khaimah Police General Command expressed sincere condolences and sympathy to the family of the deceased. They indicated that the unfortunate incident occurred when the citizen attempted to enter the valley with his vehicle despite the strong flow of water and the high level resulting from the continued heavy rainfall since the early hours of dawn in various emirates of the country.
