Egypt hosts 40th Men’s Arab Golf Championship at Dreamland Golf Resort, Cairo
This week’s Arab Golf Champion receives an invite to the DP World’s Ras Al Khaimah Championship presented by Phoenix Capital to be held February 3-6 at Al Hamra Golf Club.
Sunday sees the first round of the 40th edition of the Men’s Arab Golf Championship held at the Dreamland Golf Resort, Cairo, Egypt. Tee times are from 8am to 10.40am with play in three balls.
13 Arab Golf Federations and 45 players will compete in this significant regional golf championship.
The countries represented in the field are: Bahrain, Iraq, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Libya, Oman, Palestine, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Tunisia, UAE and the host country Egypt.
The Men’s Arab Golf Championship is played over four rounds, until Wednesday, with the best three scores for each round, from the team of four, counting towards each round’s team score. Individual scores of players from each country are also recognized for individual Gold, Silver, and Bronze Medals.
Representing the UAE will be the number 539 in the recently updated R&A administered World Amateur Golf Rankings Ahmed Skaik, Team Captain Khalid Yousuf, Abdulla Al Qubaisi, and Obaid Al Heloo.
The UAE Team will be accompanied by: H.E. Sheikh Fahim Bin Sultan Al Qasimi (EGF Chairman and AGF Chairman), Adel Zarouni (EGF Vice-Chairman and Arab Golf Federation Vice-Chairman), General Abdullah Al Hashmi (Vice-President of the EGF) and Khalid Mubarak Al Shamsi (EGF Secretary-General).
It has also just been announced that the 2021 Arab Golf Champion will also receive an invitation to the DP World Tour’s Ras Al Khaimah Championship.
