AMAF donates Dh1 million to help the needy

Awqaf and Minors Affairs Foundation gave Dh1 million to support Community Development Authority’s Social Solidarity Fund

Dubai: The Awqaf and Minors Affairs Foundation (AMAF) has donated Dh1 million to Dubai’s Community Development Authority (CDA) to aid its Social Solidarity Fund, as part of its initiatives for the Year of Zayed.

Ali Al Mutawa, AMAF Secretary General, said the donation is in line with its commitment towards building a cohesive community.

“It is the moral obligation of every individual and institution to help shape an integrated and enabled community in the UAE. This is possible only by unifying humanitarian and charitable efforts that empower people in need of support and ensure their inclusion within the community. Eventually, this will contribute to the overall happiness of individuals and the community as a whole,” Al Mutawa said.

Saeed Al Tayer, CEO of Social Planning and Development Sector at CDA, and head of the Social Solidarity Fund, thanked AMAF for its generous contribution, saying it will help support low-income families to lead a comfortable life.
