Get ready to smile and hum along as the NSO Big Band pays tribute to Frank Sinatra this October. The 17-member band — with a few guest performers thrown in — are ready to glide into the world of ol’ Blue Eyes, with songs such as Come Fly with me, The Lady is a Tramp, The Best is Yet to Come and New York, New York.

The concerts are scheduled for October 5 at the Emirates Palace Hotel Auditorium, on Abu Dhabi Corniche, and on October 6 at The MusicHall at Jumeirah Zabeel Saray Hotel, in Dubai.

NSO’s Music Director Andrew Berryman will lead the band. And they will be joined on stage by trumpet virtuoso Ryan Quigley, jazz trombonist Trevor Mires, and vocalists Ciaran Fox and Cara Jane Roberts.

NSO Founder & Executive Director, Janet Hassouneh, said: “We are so pleased to present the NSO Big Band and showcase our virtuoso brass section for this two-city show series.

“I’m sure our regular NSO audience will enjoy the first concerts of our new season, where the international guest musicians and vocalists will give an added cachet to an exciting evening of wonderful jazz and swing standards.”

Tickets to both shows start at Dh125 and are available online. Show starts 7.30pm.
