Bombay Jayashri, Shubha Mudgal to riff-off in Dubai

If you are a Hindustani music fan based in Dubai, you are in for a rare treat this weekend. Ab Ke Sawan hitmaker Shubha Mudgal and the voice behind Pi’s Lullaby, Bombay Jayashri, are headed to the city to perform on October 26 at Dubai Auditorium.

The industry giants will spar in a riff-off, or Jugalbandi, as part of Emirates NBD Classics Season 7.

Mudgal’s earthy tones have earned her many awards including the Padma Shri — the fourth highest civilian honour in India. And Jayashri has performed across 35 countries.

Tickets to the Jugalbandi at Dubai Auditorium start at Dh150.
