Dubai: Motorists on their daily commute on Sunday were pleasantly surprised to see that new signboards have been sprouting across the city. Why gold? The logo of Expo 2020 is actually inspired by a simple gold ring, which was discovered in 2002 in a place called Saruq Al Hadid, an archaeological site in Dubai that was hidden for centuries and millennia by several metres of sand dunes. Image Credit: Gulf News
