In pictures: Stars to receive the Hollywood Walk of Fame award this year

The Hollywood Walk of Fame is a famous landmark in the US where the five-pointed terrazzo and brass stars are embedded in sidewalks along 15 blocks of Hollywood Boulevard and three blocks of Vine Street in Hollywood, California. For an actor, getting their star here is considered an acme of achievement. Such stars are permanent public monuments to achievement in the entertainment industry, bearing the names of a mix of actors, directors and others in the film and television industry.
