Bollywood debut: From Suhana Khan to Palak Tiwari, newest faces to watch this year

There is some good news for cinema lovers. There’s a new generation of movie stars on the way — some of them you might already know, while some a totally new faces. Here’s a look at actors who made their debuts last year. We wish them good luck on their movie journey!

Suhana Khan, daughter of Bollywood megastar Shah Rukh Khan and interior designer wife Gauri Khan, will make her debut as the iconic Veronica in Netflix show ‘The Archies’. Khan has been in the public eye for her stylish looks, regularly posting on her public social media channels.

After Suhana Khan, Alizeh Agnihotri is another star kid who will be soon making her acting debut. Salman Khan’s niece Alizeh is all set to mark her Bollywood debut with National Award-winning filmmaker Soumendra Padhi’s next film. Alizeh began shooting for her debut film in 2022 and the film is all set to release in the year 2023. Padhi is known for his acclaimed film, ‘Budhia Singh: Born to Run’, which received a National Award. Apart from that, Padhi also helmed the web series ‘Jamtara’ seasons 1 and 2 which streamed exclusively on Netflix. Alizeh is the daughter of actor and producer Atul Agnihotri and Salman Khan’s sister Alvira Khan Agnihotri.

Agastya Nanda is another star kid who will feature in director Zoya Akhtar’s ‘The Archies’. Agastya is the grandson of Bollywood’s most iconic actor, Amitabh Bachchan. He’s the son of Amitabh’s daughter Shweta Bachchan Nanda and Nikhil Nanda. In his debut, Agastya will be playing the lead role of Archie.

If rumour mills are to be believed, Palak Tiwari is set to sizzle in the Salman Khan-starrer ‘Kabhi Eid Kabhi Diwali’. The glamorous actress will likely be paired with singer-actor Jassie Gill in the film, which also stars Venkatesh, Pooja Hegde, Shehnaaz Gill, Raghav Juyal and Siddharth Nigam. It has also been reported that Tiwari might make her debut with ‘RomeoS3’, where she could be paired with Thakur Anoop Singh.

Actress Janhvi Kapoor’s younger sister Khushi, both of whom are the daughters of producer Boney Kapoor and late actress Sridevi, has been making waves with her cool fashion sense. Soon, she’s set to debut in ‘The Archies’ alongside Agastya and Suhana. She will be playing Betty.

Katrina Kaif’s sister, Isabelle Kaif next career move will be a Bollywood stint alongside Aayush Sharma in film “Kwatha”. The adventure movie is based on real-life instances faced by the Indian Army. Details of Isabelle's role are kept under wraps as of now.

Karan Johar is infamous for promoting nepotism seems to have been on the mend by giving a popular TV star a break in Dharma productions’ 'Dostana 2'. TV actor Lakshya, Aka Laksh Lalwani of 'Porus' fame, has bagged a role in the most anticipated sequel of a much-loved film ‘Dostana’, which starred Priyanka Chopra, Abhishek Bachchan and John Abraham. He will be starring alongside Kartik Aaryan and Janhvi Kapoor.

Shanaya Kapoor is the latest star kid to get a launch into Bollywood courtesy filmmaker Johar. Her upcoming debut movie is ‘Bedhadak’. Kapoor comes from a long lineage of celebrities in her family, including uncles Anil Kapoor and Boney Kapoor, along with cousins Sonam Kapoor Ahuja, Janhvi Kapoor and Arjun Kapoor.
