New stars in the startup galaxy in Dubai

Generation 71 & Startup Middle East build ecosystem for entrepreneurs to thrive in Dubai

The Hijri new year marked a special occasion for Generation 71 with the special guests who graced the Business Center in Dubai. The Consul General of India, Dr Aman Puri, and Ghanim Al Falasi, Senior Vice President, Entrepreneurship of Dubai Silicon Oasis visited and took a tour of the Business Center, which is becoming home to promising startups.

Generation 71 (G71) is a unique business hub that houses a café, social hub or event space, and a co-working space. G71 facilitates complete 360-degree solutions for entrepreneurs from ideation to designing to the actualisation of a business idea. G71 is also home to Startup Middle East, a platform for startups and enterprises facilitating exposure, expansion, and investments. A key initiative of Startup Middle East is the monthly pitching and mentoring session, the Enterprise Forum.

Dr Puri appreciated the efforts of the team and said that it is a valuable addition to the growing startup ecosystem in Dubai; this will further the government initiatives to foster startups and increase the engagement of startup founders between the UAE and India.

Yousif bin Lahej of G71 and Siby Sudhakaran, Founder of Startup Middle East later arranged a tour of the property for the visiting dignitaries and guests. This included Preet Pal Thakur and Archit Garg, Co-founders of Galmyo Health, Sheetal Soni of MI Capital, Alka Sudhakaran of Berns Brett Masaood, Rashmi Jain of JRB Accountants, and Sunny Narang of HSBC Bank.
