Identifying gifted students in the UAE: Registration opens for UAE Ei ASSET Talent Search
Dubai: Educational Initiatives (Ei), a 22-year-old pioneer EdTech company in Assessments and Personalised Adaptive Learning, has identified potentially gifted students in the UAE through its flagship assessment solution Ei ASSET which is one of the mandatory external benchmarking assessments in UAE, the company said in a media release.
These students have scored in the top 15 percentile and are now invited to take Ei ASSET Talent Search (ATS).
Ei ATS stands out as a talent identification test, uniquely designed to resonate with and stimulate the problem-solving skills and innovation mindset of students with a high potential for academic talent. Unlike traditional tests that often emphasise rote learning, this approach aims to uncover true potential, fostering the skills necessary for future world leaders, according to the company.
Ei’s 22-year legacy with Ei ASSET and 14-year journey of Ei ATS underscores the EdTech leader’s deep understanding that true giftedness extends beyond classroom scores, thriving instead on conceptual clarity and an innate ability to navigate complex problems with ease.
On the occasion of the launch of Ei ATS, Co-Founder and Chief Learning Officer of Ei, Sridhar Rajagopalan, remarked, “I would like to congratulate the qualifiers of Ei ATS because this is not something that any student can qualify for. The students who have scored in the top 15 percentile in Ei ASSET and qualified for Ei ATS have shown that they can reach an exclusive group of gifted students. Identifying true academic talent is a precise process beyond just recognising top performers in traditional classroom settings. Real giftedness is about clear understanding and deep conceptual thinking, not just good grades.”
“Recognising and nurturing the inherent potential within each student is at the heart of what we do at Sage," said Savitri Sreevalsan, founder of Sage Educational Consultants.
"Our partnership with Ei for the Ei ASSET Talent Search represents a shared vision of elevating gifted education. The exceptional identification process of Ei ATS aligns with our commitment to excellence. It supports our ongoing efforts to foster an environment where the brightest minds in the UAE can flourish. We are excited to see these talented students thrive and contribute to a future driven by innovation and deep conceptual understanding," she added.
Since its inception in 2010, Ei ATS has identified more than 10,000 academically gifted students and given them access to programmes from globally acclaimed talent nurturing partners like Northwestern University for Talent Development, Johns Hopkins Centre for Talented Youth, Purdue University and GENWISE that are specifically designed to challenge the cognitive abilities of gifted students, the company said.
The Ei ASSET Talent Search is backed by scientific research and crafted to pinpoint students who will benefit the most from the specialized programs offered by the pioneers of gifted education worldwide. This commitment to accurate identification and strategic partnership makes Ei ATS a valuable tool in fostering the next generation of exceptional minds.
Registrations for Ei ATS are open now. Students registering by March 15 will get access to exclusive gifted programmes to start them on their journey towards academic success.
The test will be conducted online from March 28 to March 31, 2024, and the test duration for each of the mandatory subjects of English, Maths and Science is 1 hour.
