The woman was run over on the Lower East Side and trapped under the black Mercedes-Benz

A video shared on Twitter shows a group of New Yorkers rushing to the rescue of a woman trapped under a Mercedes-Benz GLE SUV. According to reports, the woman was run over on the Lower East Side and trapped under the black SUV at the intersection of Delancey and Norfolk Streets.

Footage shared by Twitter user Coldy Droscher shows nearly a dozen people coming together in a matter of seconds to tilt the Mercedes on to its right side and free the trapped pedestrian from underneath.

“As I approached there were big crowds forming all around the intersection,” Coldy Droscher told New York Post. “All of a sudden everyone ran to lift the car. It all happened so fast.”
