Unlike the day before, the price of chicken and several types of fish, like Seabass, Hamour and Seabream, have dropped - which means it may be time to stock up and treat yourself to a non-vegetarian delicacy!

The cost of fresh chicken slipped by 90fils from Dh13.8 yesterday. With regard to fish prices, the cost of Seabass saw a similar-sized drop to Dh37 from Dh37.9.

The cost of Hamour fish saw a massive price reduction of Dh14.1 in its starting price from Dh63 on Sunday. So, it would be an ideal time to grill up the fish for supper the next few days. Also, the cost of Sea Bream fish slipped by 90fils to Dh37. However, the cost of Kingfish rose by Dh4 to Dh56.9 from Dh52.9.

With regard to fruits, the good news is that the cost of fruits have remained largely stable. So a generous helping of fruits can be worked into your menu today, but since the price of bananas rose by Dh1.2 a-kilo to Dh4.9 from Dh3.7 a day earlier, maybe opt out bananas for a cost-effective salad. Price of lime too slips by 50fils to Dh4.5 from Dh5.

With the price of red onions slipping by 20fils to Dh1.7 from Dh1.9, it may be a good time to buy more of the vegetable if you are planning on Indian curry-based dishes in the coming days.
