A Greta Thunberg lookalike in a 120-year-old photo has sparked a new conspiracy theory about the environmentalist being a time traveler.

One of the children with braids bears a striking resemblance to the globally renowned environmental activist

The black-and-white photograph entitled “Three children operating rocker at a gold mine on Dominion Creek, Yukon Territory, circa. 1898,” resurfaced from archives at the University of Washington.

People on Twitter have started to claim that one of the people in the photo that shows three children has a face that’s so identical to Thunberg’s that it couldn’t possibly be anybody else.

After the photo was posted online by Jack Strange, the uncanny resemblance has caused many people on Twitter to joke that Thunberg might be a time traveller.

Some have offered up other explanations, suggesting that she’s either immortal or reincarnated.

Netizens can’t stop theorising on how Thunberg could be a time traveler who’s come back from the past to save our future.
