Seven dead in Morocco floods as river bursts banks

Rabat: Seven people were killed when a river burst its banks in a village in south Morocco Wednesday, local authorities said.

Search and rescue operations were under way to find others that may have been swept away in the floodwater after heavy showers hit the region late in the day, they said.
