Cairo: A group of youth had gathered purportedly in Yemen’s city of Aden to celebrate the wedding of two cats.

A video circulating on social media shows a person among the crowd holding a sheet of paper similar to a marriage contract as he puts one leg of each cat in an ink case and stamps the document in a sign of consent, mimicking marriage procedures, amid cheers from persons at hand.

Yemeni sources said the event was held in Aden’s district of Al Mualla and that guests were invited to the party.

Yemen has been gripped by a devastating war of more than seven years triggered by Iran-aligned Al Houthi rebels.
