Dubai: In a horrific crime that has shocked Yemen, a man brutally slit the throat of his two-year-old child and mutilated his body in a village located in Taiz, southwest of Yemen, local media reported.
According to a security source, the father has stabbed his child many times before beheading and then voluntarily surrendered to the local police soon after committing the crime.
It is not yet known why the father killed his little boy but investigations are underway to determine the main cause behind it.
The Fragile State Index ranks Yemen as the world’s most fragile state due to the ongoing conflict, resulting in an increased crime rate and a decrease in law enforcement.
