Dubai: A tropical depression in the southeastern Arabian Sea was monitored on Friday, and is expected to develop into a deep tropical depression in the coming hours, Oman’s Civil Aviation Authority announced.

In a statement issued today, the authority said: “The analyzes of the National Center for Early Warning of Multiple Hazards indicate the observing of a tropical depression in the southeastern Arabian Sea, Friday, May 14, 2021 AD, along a longitude (72.3 east) and a latitude (10.5 degrees north), and the estimated speed of surface winds around the center of 17-27 knots (31- 50 km / h). It is possible that the tropical depression will move north to northwest along the western coasts of India, as it deepens into a deep tropical depression in the coming hours, without affecting the Sultanate’s atmosphere during the next three days.”

The specialists of the National Center for Early Warning of Multiple Hazards continue to analyze and follow up the latest developments around the clock. The Civil Aviation Authority invites everyone to follow the weather forecasts for further developments.
