A Railway Protection Force (RPF) constable in the Indian state of Maharashtra was hailed a hero after he saved a passenger from getting under a running train.

According to a tweet by Central Railway, the incident took place at platform 3 of the Manmad station. A video shared by the account shows a passenger fall down between the platform and a moving train while boarding it.

The tweet further reported that the RPF constable named Manish Kumar Singh, who was patrolling saw a person entangled in-between the platform and the running train. Upon seeing this, Singh quickly acted and pulled him away from the moving train and saved his life.

In August, a similar incident was reported from Hyderabad where a RPF constable saved the life of a passenger. Media reports say that the passenger lost balance and fell in the gap between the platform and the train at the Nampally railway station. The constable, who was present at the platform, immediately lifted the man by pulling him out.
