Pictures of PM Modi trying "litti-chokha" and "kulhad chai" at Hunar Haat in Delhi, goes viral.

The choice of his food drew references on social media to Bihar elections later this year

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday tweeted a photo of his "litti-chokha" lunch and "kulhad tea" in Delhi, while visiting the crafts fair "Hunar Haat", at Rajpath, near India Gate.

He shared pictures on his Twitter handle that said: "Had tasty Litti Chokha for lunch along with a hot cup of tea." The PM enjoyed his tea served in a "kulhad", an earthen cup, with Union Minister Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi, and paid Rs 40 for two. 

Liitti – Chokha is a local delicacy from Bihar and the choice of his food drew references on social media to elections in the state later during the year. PM Modi paid a sum of Rs 120 for the meal.

Later the PM met artisans at the crafts fair, organised by the Ministry of Minority Affairs and spent close to an hour with them. He even tried his hand at traditional tunes and tweeted: "Trying my hand at some music in #HunarHaat..."

The Hunar Haat will be on till February 23. Here experienced artisans, craftsmen and culinary experts from across the country will be showcasing traditional arts to revive their popularity and mainstream them.
