India: Video of bride working on laptop at her marriage has gone viral
Work from home is the new normal for many of us. Now that we have known that we could work from anywhere, in India, a video of a bride typing away on her laptop at her wedding went viral on Twitter, and social media users can't stop sharing it.
The video was posted by a Twitter user @hvgoenka, who captioned it: "If you think you are under work pressure, then watch this."
Attending a work meeting on Zoom while doing the dishes is relatively common by now but have you ever heard of someone working at their wedding?
A Twitter user @ArpitChokhani tweets: "This is not work pressure. It's either a greedy company or an inefficient employee or a combination of both. Please don't take this as a benchmark for your company or your employees.”
In the video, the bride is in full wedding attire, but she's not interacting with relatives or speaking to her to-be husband. Instead, she's busy on a phone call with her eyes glued to the laptop screen! The groom walks into the frame but gets no attention from her. #Priorities, right?
Social media users obviously couldn't help laughing. Here's how another user @Anil4Joseph posted: "Typical Indian attitude towards professional work... It is more to impress the immediate and extended social circle. High time we call out such fake being busy/highly committed imagery."
Social media users are really confused whether it was a Zoom call to broadcast the wedding or a genuine work call. The video garnered over 10k views.
