Abu Dhabi Police launches ‘My life is priceless’ campaign
Abu Dhabi: Abu Dhabi Police, in cooperation with its partners, has launched “My life is priceless” campaign with the aim of raising the community’s awareness about the dangers and damage caused by drugs.
For a month, starting tomorrow and ending on October 16, the campaign focuses on different segments of the society, especially young people, families and parents and will include visits to community councils, schools, private institutions and clubs of Arab and foreign communities.
The campaign will also include lectures and youth workshops, through which coordinated and targeted efforts are to be made to combat this plague and raise against its devastating effects. It will be implemented in three languages — Arabic, English and Urdu.
The campaign also focuses on different media to further raise people’s awareness, through publishing news stories, sending SMS and airing TV and radio programmes, distributing publications and educational pamphlets in stadiums and exhibitions, commercial centres and residential areas, and making public announcements via cinema screens, ATMs, customer service centres and media platforms, etc.
The campaign will bring in volunteers from “We are all police” members as well as community and sports figures and celebrities in social networks.
Brigadier Mohammad Suhail Al Rashidi, Acting Director of the Criminal Security Sector of the Abu Dhabi Police, highlighted the importance of strengthening relationships between members of society and parties concerned about the protection and response to drug risks, thereby increasing efforts, guaranteeing the safety and stability of society and ensuring a bright future for generations to come.
He said that the launch of the campaign will yield positive results and positively affect the country, families and individuals, to prevent this drugs plague and reduce its causalities and boost confidence in government services.
