UAE: Dubai schools among global toppers of India’s ICSE, ISC 2024 exams
Class 10 (ICSE), Class 12 (ISC) exam results for 2024 announced
Dubai: Dubai schools have scored 100 per cent pass percentage and emerged as best performing schools abroad in India’s ICSE (Indian Certificate of Secondary Education), ISC (Indian School Certificate) exams, it was announced on Monday.
The Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations in New Delhi released the results of the Class X (ICSE) and Class XII (ISC) Year 2024 Examinations.
The best performing ICSE schools abroad are from Indonesia, Singapore and Dubai with a 100 per cent pass percentage, the Council stated.

The ICSE exams were conducted between February 21 and March 28 and the ISC examination was conducted between February 12 and April 4.
In GEMS Modern Academy, Dubai, Diya Maria Thomas topped the ISC Class XII, with a score of 99.25 per cent, followed by Desiree Moraes (98.5 per cent), Praneshwaran Eshwaran (98.5 per cent), Anamika Jaykumar (98.25 per cent) and Prithvi Bharadwaj, (98 per cent).
Diya said: “My journey at GEMS Modern Academy was fuelled by solid attention to detail, exhaustive subject revisions, and hard work. My family and school laid the foundation, serving as pillars of my success.”
Meanwhile, Desiree said: “These past two years taught me to cherish every moment and enjoy the journey rather than just the destination. My true success is balancing extracurricular activities with academic rigour, which I believe is vital for holistic learning.”
In ICSE Class X, Spriha Pandey, Khyati Agarwal and Saira Miriam Thomas shared the first place with 99.2 marks. They were followed by Vedant Agarwal (99 per cent) and Shaurya Sahu (98.6 per cent).
Nargish Khambatta, Principal, GEMS Modern Academy and Senior Vice President - Education at GEMS Education, said: “There are countless stories to share from the batch of pragmatics - tales of perseverance, representing their country, and overcoming personal challenges to achieve an incredible 89.5 per cent batch average [in ISC].
She said the school’s largest cohort of 285 ICSE students have done it proud as well, with a batch average of 88.6 per cent.
"I'm immensely proud of our students' achievements. These outstanding results reflect their resilience and the supportive ecosystem that nurtures them. The lines between parents and teachers blur as we champion our young change-makers together,” added Khambatta.
In JSS International School, Dubai, Aishwarya Sinha topped the ICSE exam with a whopping 99 per cent score. An elated Aishwarya said: “I am delighted that my consistent efforts paid off. I never lost sight of my goal and stayed focused on achieving the best in every test. To refresh myself, I would take to my passion - coding. I am grateful to God, my parents, and my teachers for supporting me throughout this memorable journey”.
Suhani Sharma, the ISC topper with an impressive 97 per cent was also overjoyed. She said: “My aim this year was solely to see myself grow in areas I felt were hindering me from realising my potential. I reflected on my tendencies of procrastination, and it took me the better part of two years to nudge myself slowly, but surely, in the direction I envisaged for myself. Adhering to that vision, it was a journey I learned a lot from, by putting in consistent effort, and training myself to keep a positive attitude by detaching myself from the results, which really helped me grow in a holistic manner.”
A celebratory moment this year is also the brilliant performance of students with varied needs, the school stated. Of the 104 students who appeared for the ICSE exam, 56 students have scored above 90 per cent and of the 74 students who appeared for the ISC exam, 37 students secured above 90 per cent.
“This achievement is surely not the end. We will continue to build upon the momentum and strive for an even higher level of excellence providing our students with the best possible educational experience” said Lata Nakra, Principal of JSS International School.
She congratulated every student, parent, teacher and member of the school management for their commitment and for helping to make a difference.
Ambassador School, Dubai said it was celebrating the success of 69 ICSE students and 40 ISC students who achieved 100 percent pass. “A truly remarkable feat is 50 per cent of students scored more than 90 per cent in ISC along with 32 centum scored by the ICSE students,” the school said.
Grade 12 school topper, Anushka Vastawat, scored 96.75 percent, followed closely by Aashvi Shah and Parv Wadhwa with 96 per cent.
The school topper for grade 10, Anjali Sharat scored 98.6 percent, followed closely by Aditi Nair with 97.8 per cent with a 100 in Economics. Three students,
Haniya Burmawala, Raghav Angra and Sai Shrenik Varnajyosula scored 97.4 per cent to achieve the third place.
An ecstatic Anjali Sharat said, “I think the formula to success is very simple. Planning right from the beginning of the year with consistent practice, that’s what it takes to be successful. But this astounding success definitely would not have been possible without the strongest support system that I had in the form of my teachers, school and my parents”.
