Comic Urdu poetry session on November 9

Famous poets from Pakistan and India including Anwar Maqsood and Popular Meeruthi will participate in the event



SHARJAH: Bazm-e-Urdu, Dubai, is reviving Mushairah Zinda Dillan, a comic poetry session, in association with Sharjah International Book Fair.

Dr Syed Azhar Ali Zaidi, who introduced the format to the UAE 20 years ago, will be mentoring the session on November 9 (7.30pm) at Sharjah Expo.

The event will feature renowned humorists and satirists from India and Pakistan. They include Anwar Maqsood, Popular Meeruthi, Khalid Masood, Sarfaraz Shahid, Nashtar Amrohvi, Dr Zubair Farooq, Kaleem Samar, Abdul Hakim Naseef and Anas Faizi.

Entry to the Mazahiya (comedy) Mushaira session is free. Passes can be downloaded from www.bazmeurdu.org or by writing to info@bazmeurdu.org.
