Military installs multiple rows of razor wire to deter illegal crossings
The US military is reinforcing the southern border by installing multiple layers of concertina (razor) wire on both the top and base of existing steel border fences, especially in high-traffic areas.
Some of the coils reach up to 8 feet in height. This measure aims to deter illegal crossings and enhance security at key entry points. These efforts are part of a broader military support role authorized under federal law.
