A resurfaced video of him, originally filmed in Australia, has gone viral on Instagram
Dubai: An Australian man who spent six years in Bihar, India, has stunned people with his flawless Hindi. His pronunciation and accent are so authentic that anyone hearing him speak would assume he’s a native.
Picking up a new language is never easy — especially one as intricate as Hindi, with its unique script and pronunciation. But some people have a natural talent for languages, and this man is a prime example.
A resurfaced video of him, originally filmed in Australia, has gone viral on Instagram, shared by the account @the_trend_honey. Though his name remains undisclosed, the clip captures him chatting effortlessly in Hindi with an Indian woman behind the camera.
In the video, he recalls his time in India from 1972 to 1978, mainly in Bihar and later in Uttar Pradesh. He learned Hindi directly from locals, adopting not just the language but also the regional Bihari accent, which he switches into seamlessly.
His linguistic journey didn’t stop in India — he also spent time in Bangladesh and Pakistan. With a touch of humour, he reveals that when Indians ask about his background, he jokingly claims to be a Kashmiri Brahmin.
The internet is loving his fluency, with the video racking up 1.5 million views. Commenters are amazed by his Hindi skills, with one even suggesting he get an Aadhaar card. Another joked that his Hindi sounded so natural, it made his Australian accent seem fake!
