A magnitude 6.2 earthquake struck off the coast of Papua New Guinea on Monday, according to the US Geological Survey.
There were no immediate reports in the Pacific Ocean nation of any damage or injuries from the temblor, which struck 25m south of Taron and 125 km (78 miles) east of the town of Rabaul, at a depth of 70 km (44 miles).
