Mogadishu: A roadside bomb on Monday killed at least 11 people and wounded many more in the southern Somali town of Baidoa, the latest in a string of explosions in the war-torn nation, officials said.

"At least 11 people — most of them women and children — were killed by a bomb placed in a busy market," said Mohammad Ebrahim Habsade, a Somali lawmaker.
