Local Hamas leader killed in Israeli attack on refugee camp

Gaza: A local Hamas commander was killed in an Israeli missile attack on Palestinian refugee camp in southern Gaza on Thursday, officials said.

The attack targeted Nafez Mansour in Rafah refugee camp near the region's border with Egypt.

Medical workers said Mansour was critically wounded.

In a statement, the Israeli military described Mansour as a "Hamas terror operative".
