Abu Dhabi: President His Highness Shaikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan has received a telephone call from Shaikh Sabah Al Jaber Al Sabah, Emir of Kuwait and President of the GCC summit.

Earlier, Shaikh Sabah made similar calls to the leaders of Saudi Arabia, Bahrain and Oman, Kuwait News Agency (Kuna) reported.

It said that Shaikh Sabah exchanged views with the Saudi, Bahraini and Omani leaders on the latest political developments in the Arab and international arenas.

The leaders also discussed the consequences of the Israeli barbaric attack on the Freedom Flotilla, killing and wounding scores of innocent persons.

The leaders stressed the need for an immediate Arab and international action to ensure safety of the unarmed civilian volunteers, their safe return to their mother countries, lift the unjust siege on Gaza and allow free inflow of relief supplies and put an end to the Israeli criminal acts.
