Occupied Jerusalem: Israel sealed border crossings with the Gaza Strip temporarily after a rocket fired from there landed in southern Israel on Tuesday, Israel Radio reported.

The rocket landed in an open field near the border with the Gaza Strip, but caused no injuries or damage, Israel army said.

Defence Minister Ehud Barak ordered border crossings with the Gaza Strip to be closed until at least Thursday in response to the latest rocket salvo, Israel Radio reported.

The army and Defence Ministry had no immediate comment.
