Iraq-bound arms ship seized in southern Yemen

Mukalla: Local authorities in Yemen port city of Mukalla have seized a massive arms shipment originated from Serbia. A local security source who inspected the ship said that the ship docked in Mukalla’s sea port on Tuesday morning to get fuel and food. The ship was flying the Bolivian flag and bound to the Iraqi sea port of Abu Qaser. After inspecting the ship, police found 180 tonnes of ammunition and mortar shells. Three Indians and two Albanians were the crew of the ship. Mukalla security police said it would keep the ship until the end of the investigation.
