London: US President George W. Bush said on Monday that Iran's demand for civilian nuclear power was justifiable.

"I would like to say one thing about the Iranian demand for civilian nuclear power - it is a justifiable demand," he told a news conference in London.

Bush held the conference with British Prime Minister Gordon Brown and the two are expected to present a united front against Iran's nuclear ambitions.

Iran on Saturday ruled out suspending uranium enrichment despite an incentives package by six world powers, including the United States, to persuade it to stop its nuclear work.
