Cairo: The Egyptian port of Alexandria and nearby Dekheila port closed on Monday due to high winds and waves, reports said.
The port authorities closed the entrances to the ports during bad weather to prevent accidents.
Heavy rain on the Mediterranean coast had flooded some Alexandria streets, disrupting traffic.
