Saudi tourist drowns in Lake Geneva

Dubai: A Saudi tourist has died after drowning in Lake Geneva, Switzerland, the Saudi Consulate in Geneva confirmed on Sunday.

The consulate said it is handling the case of the Saudi citizen who drowned in the lake.

In a statement posted on its official account on X, the consulate said it is working closely with the relevant Swiss authorities to complete the necessary procedures for repatriating the citizen’s body to Saudi Arabia.

The statement did not provide further details regarding the circumstances surrounding the incident.
