Saudi Arabia: Man sets fire to ATM machine in Najran

Abu Dhabi: A 30-year-old Saudi man was arrested after setting fire to an ATM in Najran, a city in southwestern Saudi Arabia near the border with Yemen.

It was not immediately known why the man set the cash machine on fire.

Major Abdullah Al Ashwi, spokesman for the Najran police, said the man poured a flammable liquid on the machine, set it on fire and fled the scene.

The man was remanded in custody and all necessary procedures were taken to refer him to the Public Prosecution, Major Al Ashwi said.
