Dubai: A 54-year-old Egyptian has been arrested after stabbing his ex-wife for refusing to re-marry him, local media reportedThe Mansoura Public Prosecution has referred the man, who is the owner of a hunting equipment store to criminal court, accusing him of intentionally stabbing his 39-year-old divorcee with a knife inside a hospital, for her refusal to re-marry him.
According to media reports, the man hid a knife under his clothes and headed to the hospital where his ex-wife was being treated and suddenly attacked her causing serious injuries.
The victim said following a dispute with her ex-husband, he brutally assaulted her causing some injuries because of which she headed to hospital to receive medication. However, the suspect stalked her and all of a sudden attacked her in full view of the public.
The wife is said to be in a stable health condition following the incident.
