Cairo: A Saudi-led Arab coalition foiled on Friday two “terrorist” attacks launched by Yemen’s Iran-aligned Al Houthi militia targeting Saudi Arabia.

The coalition intercepted and destroyed an explosive boat sent by Al Houthis in the southern Red Sea, Saudi television Al Ekhbariya reported.

The coalition also destroyed an explosive unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) launched by Al Houthis in the direction of the kingdom, it added.

On Sunday, three civilians were injured in the Saudi region of Jazan near the Yemeni border by a projectile fired by Al Houthis.

Al Houthis plunged Yemen into a devastating conflict after they toppled the internationally recognised government and overran the capital Sana’a in late 2014.
