COVID-19: Qatar reports 1,581 new cases, 1,926 new recoveries

Dubai: Qatar on Thursday announced the detection of 1,581 new coronavirus cases, raising the country’s total number of infections to 63,741.

The Ministry of Public Health revealed that 1,926 patients have made full recovery, pushing to 39,468 the total number of recovered cases so far.

No new fatalities have been reported, keeping the death toll at 45.

There are 24,228 active cases still receiving treatment at medical facilities across the country, while the number of critical cases has risen to 239.

The ministry said the new cases were detected through conducting 4,649 COVID-19 tests, bringing the total number of examined people to 241,086.
