Two arrested in Oman for drug abuse and trafficking

Muscat: The Royal Oman Police have arrested two people on charges of possession, trafficking and abuse of prohibited drugs.

Working on a tip-off, the police raided a house in Seeb area of Muscat and arrested the two accused, who were found to be in possession of heroin and other narcotics as well as syringes.

The police have urged residents to inform the police about drug-related offences by calling up 9999 or the hotline 1444.

Meanwhile, police on Sunday arrested 183 illegal residents and deported 792.
