Oman's Saud Bahwan Group chairman dead

Muscat: Shaikh Saud Salim Abdullah Bahwan Al Mukahini, chairman of the Saud Bahwan Group, died in France on Wednesday. His body will be kept at Wattayeh Mosque, it is learnt.

A self-made man, Shaikh Saud, began his career at the age of nine, using a wooden Dhow to transport his trading goods to far-off places. He entered the corporate world over 30 years ago and now the company. with 9,400 employees, boasts of annual sales turn over of $3billion (about Dh10.95 billion).
