Boy, 12, drowns off Saham beach in Oman

Muscat: A twelve-year-old boy drowned off Saham beach in north Batinah region, according to a Royal Oman Police (ROP) press release on Sunday.

The family of the child took him to Sohar hospital in an unconscious state after pulling him out of the water.

However, before the boy could be given treatment, he died.

The ROP has urged parents not to leave children alone near the sea and places that are dangerous for them to avoid such fatal incidents.
