KUWAIT- A small oil spillage was discovered near Qaruh Island in Kuwait on Friday. However, ships owned by the Kuwait Oil Company have managed to contain the situation, said Essam Al Ghanim, Minister of Oil of Kuwait.
In a statement to the Kuwaiti News Agency (KUNA), Al Ghanim added that an air sortie was carried out to determine the presence of pollutants near the Kuwaiti Island.
According to KUNA, Al Ghanim said that the sortie was undertaken after satellite images showed a possible spillage near Qaruh while affirming that everything was under control.
