Kuwait: Customs officers at Kuwait International Airport arrested an Arab expatriate who tried to smuggle marijuana into the country by replacing cigarette packs with around 55 grams of marijuana and possessing sweets made with marijuana.
According to security sources and Kuwait MOI news website, a custom officer suspected the Arab passenger who arrived from an European country where marijuana is legal, and upon confronting the expat with the quantities discovered in his hand-bag he claimed he had possession of these items for his personal use, and hence was arrested and referred to official authorities for taking necessary legal action.
