Manama: A Bahraini court on Thursday sentenced a man to six months in prison for undermining the status of the King.
According to the case papers, the man used a social network to post remarks deemed offensive to King Hamad Bin Eisa Al Khalifa. The man and three others were arrested last month after they were reported by a specialised unit to the public prosecution for posting the offensive remarks on the microblog. The court will decide the fate of the other three next week.
