Dubai: Bahrain’s Ministry of Health announced 532 new cases of Covid-19 on Tuesday, pushing the total number of confirmed infections in the kingdom to 26,239.

Among today’s cases, 326 were detected among expatriates, while 200 were found to have been exposed to active cases. Additionally, eight cases are travel-related.

The new infections were detected after the ministry carried out over 8,609 new COVID-19 tests on Monday, bringing the total number of tests done so far to 545,125.

This takes the overall number of active cases to 5,225, of which 79 cases are receiving treatment and 41 are in critical condition.

The ministry also announced the death of an 85-yearold female citizen from the virus. Her passing brought the overall number of coronavirus-related deaths in the kingdom to 84, including 11 in just three days.

Meanwhile, 411 additional recoveries from COVID-19 were reported, bringing the total of recovered patients to 20,928.
