Cairo: Four Asians were killed in a multi-car collision in Bahrain, media reports said.

Two others were seriously injured in the mishap that occurred Monday on a main road near the area of Al Hamala in Bahrain’s Northern Governorate, Akhbar Al Khaleej newspaper said.

The nationalities of the victims were not disclosed.

The accident involved three cars, one of them flipped over as a result of the collision. The exact cause of the crash is not clear yet.

According to 2018 figures, driving at high speed accounted for 30.3 per cent of total traffic infringements in Bahrain while driving through red lights hit 34.9 per cent.

Male drivers were meanwhile blamed for 83.7 per cent of the overall road violations in the kingdom.
