Six people have died in Bahrain from the H1N1 virus since its outbreak last May
Manama: Health Minister Faysal Al Hamer has become the first Bahraini to get the swine flu vaccination.
The highly symbolic gesture on Saturday was meant to reassure people in Bahrain that the vaccine was safe and that they should not be concerned with the allegations that it had ominous side effects.
Six people have died in Bahrain from the flu since its outbreak last May and hundreds have been successfully treated.
