Cox's Bazaar: Two people have been killed by wild elephants that strayed into a village along Bangladesh's border with Myanmar, officials said on Wednesday.
A woman and her baby were trampled when about six elephants rampaged through the remote village of Tulatali about 500 kilometres southeast of Dhaka, forest officials said.
Police said 11 people have been trampled to death and many others have been injured by wild elephants, a rare species, along the border district of Bandarban over the past two months.
